how it works
the code lives on github. the coin lives on solana.
how a repository
becomes a coin
paste
drop in a repo
a full github url or the short owner/repo form — either one works.
verify
check it’s real
stars, forks, contributors and commit history are read live from github.
launch
mint on pump.fun
set a name, ticker and logo, sign once with your wallet and the coin is live.
follow
track the build
trade the coin while the repo keeps shipping commits and releases.
every step, in detail
from a pasted url to a live pump.fun coin — and who gets paid.
01 · pastepoint at a repository
repopad accepts a normal github url, an ssh remote, a link to an issue or release, or the short owner/repo form. whatever you paste is normalized to the canonical repository before anything else happens.
- https, ssh (git@) and .git remotes all resolve to the same repo
- github system paths like settings or marketplace are refused
- name and ticker default to the repo name if you leave them empty
02 · verifyread the real numbers
repository facts come straight from github’s public api at request time. if github can’t be reached, the page says so plainly rather than filling in guesses.
- stars, forks, watchers and open issues from the repo endpoint
- the latest commits and contributors are listed on every coin page
- language dots follow github’s own color palette
03 · launchmint on pump.fun
add an image and a short pitch, then sign a single transaction. the coin is created through pump.fun on solana with a 1b supply and starts trading on the bonding curve immediately.
- one wallet signature — phantom, solflare or any solana wallet
- the curve fills at roughly 85 sol, then migrates to PumpSwap
- the repo snapshot is saved with the coin so it stays tied to its source
04 · followwatch it ship
each coin page keeps pulling fresh commits and contributors, so holders can see whether the project is actually moving.
- github data refreshes on a ten-minute cache
- every page carries a community-created, not-endorsed notice
- maintainers can verify through github to collect creator rewards
rewards belong to the maintainers, not the launcher
pump.fun creator rewards from every repopad coin collect in one vault, and only a github-verified repository admin can claim them.
where rewards go
pump.fun pays creator rewards to the wallet that created the coin. on repopad, that creator wallet is the repopad vault — never the person who clicked launch.
how maintainers claim
a maintainer signs in with github on the coin page. repopad confirms they hold admin rights on the repository, then asks which solana address should receive the payout.
what gets recorded
each verified claim stores the coin mint, the github login, the repository and the payout address, so anyone can trace who earned what.
payouts today
payouts are sent manually from the vault for now. automated, per-coin settlement is next on the roadmap.
questions
which repositories can I launch?
any public repository on github. repopad checks that it exists before the launch button unlocks.
who can launch?
anyone with a solana wallet and enough sol to cover the pump.fun creation fee plus network costs.
does the launcher earn rewards?
no. creator rewards route to the repopad vault and can only be claimed by a verified maintainer of the repository.
are coins endorsed by the maintainers?
no. coins are created by the community and are not affiliated with the repository unless its maintainers say otherwise.
is the github data live?
yes — it’s fetched from github’s public api. when github rate-limits a request, repopad shows an unavailable state.
what happens when the curve fills?
once roughly 85 sol has been raised, pump.fun migrates liquidity to PumpSwap and trading continues there.
